Most local track and field teams are lucky to have one person that runs the 400 hurdles, which is widely viewed as the most grueling event in track and field. It is enough to ask someone to run 400 meters, or one lap, now imagine putting a hurdle every ten meters to jump over. The PCM Girls Track and Field Squad not only has one, but two very good 400 hurdlers. Margo Chipps and Morgan Uhlenhopp have laid down good times this season and are two and three at the state qualifying site at Eddyvile-Blakesburg. Coach Eric Karr tells KRLS Sports it is all about the hard work that both girls have put in to make them contenders for the state meet. Karr says he has anther girl who is interested in 400 hurdles next season and has been running good times in the JV races.
