Today is the deadline to reserve a place at the Knoxville Senior Center this Saturday for their Mother’s Day tea party.

The Mother’s Day tea begins at 2:00 p.m. and will feature live entertainment; all proceeds go towards supporting the Senior Center.

Mothers of all ages from all over the community are invited to attend along with their families.

Shelly Braley from the Senior Center tells KNIA/KRLS News last year’s event went well, and they worked hard to make it festive for the mothers celebrating with their families.

“We had fancy little hors d’oeuvres and I put linens on the table and nice decorations and I try to make every mother, every woman, every aunt, friends, (feel) welcome,” Braley says.
