The Marion County Coalition for Change intends to invite representatives of various other organizations, as they look to refocus their own efforts towards drug abuse prevention.

MC3 members met on Wednesday to work on short-term goals and long-term objectives; one step they plan on taking is to hold a meeting in the next few weeks with various health and social service providers.

The coalition wants to widen its membership and find new ideas to help educate against drug abuse; some events will be coming up at the end of this school year, and they hope to use the summer to develop similar ones for the fall.

A date and location will be settled on soon; MC3 hopes to have this meeting before the end of the school year.
