A Pella Track and Field alumna has been impacting her college at the next level. Paighton Malek was named the Hawkeye College Redtail student athlete of the week. Malek placed 6th in the 100 meters and long jump for the RedTails at the Region XI outdoor championships, setting a new school record in the 100. Malek was a sprinter and jumper for the Class 3A 2018 state champions Pella Lady Dutch.
