Four events are automatic qualifiers from Melcher-Dallas to the State Qualifying meet. J’Lyn Knutson breezed to the A-Q in the 1500 and 3000 races. Also getting in as an automatic was Grace Overgaard in the shot put with a toss of 33 feet 5 1/4 inches was good enough for first place. On the boys side, Emery Sage won the 1600 and qualifies in that event.
