Members of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will have an opportunity to tour one of its member’s farms, during an event coming up on May 22nd.

The Blue Gate Farm is about 15 miles south of Knoxville, and Hannah Vander Veer from the Knoxville Chamber tells KNIA/KRLS News members can join in for an hour-long tour of their facilities in the evening.

“They are a chemical-free produce farm, producing all sorts of delicious fruits and vegetables; they’re one of the mainstays at the Des Moines Farmer’s Market, and they’re right here, local.

“So, just an opportunity for people to be able to go out there (and) tour the farm; they have some adorable alpacas acres and acres of fruits and veggies, chickens, they make yarn, jam, all sorts of cool stuff,” Vander Veer says.

The tour starts at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd; RSVP’s are required, and a car pool is being arranged.
