The race for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District will have familiar names for the upcoming 2020 election, as incumbent representative Democrat Cindy Axne will look to reclaim her seat against one of several potential Republican candidates. Former two-term representative David Young, who was unseated by Axne in 2018, has already declared his intention to run for the Republican party nomination. Current State Senator Zach Nunn has not officially declared his intention to run in the Republican Party primary, but recently announced a listening tour across the district to gauge support.
