A special meeting of the Knoxville School Board has been called for Friday morning, for the purpose of ratifying a new contract with the teachers’ union.

If and when the Knoxville Education Association gives its approval, then the Board would vote on whether to approve the contract.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. on Friday at the Board of Education offices.
