Pella Christian High School seniors were recognized through scholarships at the annual awards night Wednesday. It’s the second of two held by Dollars for Scholars and local organizations, awarding students with scholarships and grants for their upcoming post-secondary education experiences. The Pella Chapter of Dollars for Scholars is giving 170 scholarships totaling more than $115,000 to both Pella and Pella Christian seniors in 2019. Since 2000, Dollars for Scholars in Pella has given more than $1.4 million in 3,500 scholarships to graduating seniors in the community, with several local donors contributing. Every local student who successfully completes the application receive a financial aid award through the program. Pella Christian High School seniors graduate this Saturday at 7 p.m.
