The next class of Central College students will receive their degrees and move on to the next step in their lives this weekend as they graduate tomorrow. Central College President Mark Putnam says while it’s a time for reflection for the Class of 2019, focus will turn this summer to preparing campus for the next group of Central students. Steve Van Wyk, executive vice-president and head of technology and innovation for The PNC Financial Services Group, will speak at the commencement ceremony. Van Wyk, a native of Pella, earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and accounting from Central in 1981. Drivers are reminded to use caution around the Central campus as students move out and extra pedestrians come for graduation festivities.
