It was a busy day one of the State Track and Field Meet in Des Moines for Knoxville athletes, Abbey Jackson ran in three events. She began the day in the 200 with an 18th place finish with a time of 27.23, then it was on to the 100 where she placed 17th with a time of 13.32, and wrapping up her day with the 400 she laid down a time of 1:04.96 for 22nd place. Jackson was unable to qualify for any finals. Kieren Nichols rounded out the day for the Panthers also in boys 400. He placed 14th with a time of 52.33. Just one event for Knoxville today as Alex Buckley will participate in the shot put.
