The seniors at Knoxville High School are officially finished with classes, and are now preparing to officially become graduates.

The Class of 2019 gathered in the school gymnasium Friday morning to receive their senior awards; several scholarships not already presented were handed out during the assembly, as were awards for various athletic and academic achievements…with thirty-three of the graduates receiving Presidential Education Scholastic Awards.

The graduation weekend began on Thursday with the traditional walk-out, as the seniors left class for the last time and were showered with cheers, confetti and good wishes.

They will now be preparing for Graduation Day on Sunday; the commencement ceremonies will begin in the school gymnasium at 2:00 p.m.
