For the fourth time in six weeks, the Knoxville Raceway had to cancel racing action on Saturday. Impending heavy rains forced officials to make the call around four Saturday afternoon. This week, the raceway is trying something new. For the first time in recent memory, they will hold a weekly doubleheader this weekend. After cancelling on Saturday, many drivers asked if the raceway could run two shows, one Friday and another on Saturday to make up for lost races this season. On Sunday, the raceway announced they will hold a weekly show on Friday and Saturday, with Friday’s show a non-points event. KNIA will broadcast both nights starting with Live Track Side at five and Race Nights Live at seven also streamed live at kniakrls.com.
