The Pleasantville City Council took time Monday night to discuss some of their ongoing municipal projects, in particular one involving the wastewater treatment plant.

City Administrator Joe Mrstik tells KNIA/KRLS News they are concerned about the progress of some of the subcontractors associated with the project, and have had trouble trying to get a hold of them to address any issues.

“Woodruff (Construction) was awarded the contract originally, and they’ve done a really good job; however, some of their subcontractors are not meeting the expectations of the city. And then in addition to that, there are some design concerns that we have as far as what Snyder’s did, and we’re trying to work that out with them,” Mrstik says.

The City Council also approved further landscaping for Webb Shadle Park, and was told while the work on Jasper Street is going slow the project is still on target for completion.
