Pella Christian miscues were too much to overcome in an 11-3 loss to West Marshall Wednesday. The Eagles committed six errors and pitchers issued 10 walks to Trojans batters, who were able to score nearly a dozen runs despite three hits. The Eagles took an early 2-0 lead on a Will Dembski home run and held a 3-2 advantage until a mistake-filled top of the fifth inning allowed West Marshall to take control. Pella Christian will host Des Moines Christian Friday night to end the first week of action.
