A season that was scheduled to start on Tuesday will now begin tonight, as the Indianola Indians baseball team will travel to in-county out-of-conference rival Carlisle. The Indians are coming off of a 34-4 season, but graduated nearly all of their at bats and innings pitched from last season. The only returners with any varsity experience on the mound include Joey Bylund who pitched 13 ⅓ innings, Tyce Johnson who pitched 8, and Dallas Jackson pitching 10 ⅔. As for at bats, the Indians bring back only 23 from last season. The game tonight can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner on the play-by-play. Pregame begins at 5:15pm.
