The Indianola Fire Department and Indianola Noon Lions Club held a free-will donation pancake breakfast fundraiser earlier this month, with the Fire Department receiving the full donation this week. The Indianola Noon Lions Club presented a check to the department totaling $3,035, and Firefighter Bob Soukup tells KNIA News will go towards some beneficial equipment.
“The generous donation will help the department purchase a Lucas CPR device, which will be the third one for us which means we can put one in each of the ambulances we have in operation. We could not do what we do without the support of the community.”
The pancake breakfast is one of several fundraising efforts by the Indianola Fire Department throughout the year, with the next coming this fall with the public safety night out.
