The South Overlook boat ramp and Whitebreast Beach are closed until further notice due to high water. The portion of the Volksweg Trail around the Marina Cove bay is also closed.

Boat ramps that are currently usable for lake access include those at the Whitebreast Recreation Area, Marina Cove and Elk Rock State Park (just off of Highway 14), and Howell Station Landing for river access below the dam. Parking areas at the Marina Cove ramp are limited during times of high water.

Water is expected to rise to 774 feet above sea level by the end of May. Inflows on the lake this weekend will average at 60,000 cubic feet per second.
