The Pella School Board will review the last day of school for the current academic year at their regular meeting Tuesday. The board will consider a proposal that ends class on June 6th instead of the 7th, as previously scheduled. The district lost 62 hours due to winter weather, and had 44 ½ hours built in, leaving about three full days of school that needed to be made up. The board will also consider a change to graduation requirements, a resolution on sports concussion protocol, and the resignation of board member Lisa Jansen, who has been battling a long-term illness since December. A review of the Marion County Child Care Needs Assessment is also on the agenda. The session is being held Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the Pella High School Main Office Conference Room due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
