More severe weather warnings were issued in south central Iowa earlier today. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air for a warning from 3:27 to 3:50 p.m. for eastern Marion County. Two reports came in of hail in Attica and Bussey. This came after a warning from 2:45 to 3:15 for western Warren County. KNIA/KRLS was on the air for both storms — with six staff members contributing to on air coverage and updates from Weatherology meteorologists. KNIA/KRLS is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion and Warren Counties, with backup generators ensuring the coverage stays on if the power goes out.
