Montana Governor and Democratic Party presidential candidate Steve Bullock is the most recent candidate to make a campaign visit to Indianola, as he talked to potential caucus goers at The Corner Sundry Tuesday evening. Bullock tells KNIA News he is the only candidate in a crowded field to win re-election in 2016 in a state Donald Trump won, and that shows he can work with all people.
“If we (Democrats) don’t win back some of the places that we lost, we are not gonna win this election. More than that, people expect government to work. In a very divided time, i’ve been able to bridge divides to get progressive policy like healthcare and getting dark money out of our elections, and investing in education. And I think until we address what’s holding us back, and that is corporate and outside spending in our elections we are not gonna get these meaningful things done and i’ve done more in that area than I think anyone in the field.”
Bullock was introduced and endorsed by Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, with Democratic Party candidate for US Senate Eddie Mauro also in attendance.
