Indianola Parks and Rec is hosting a Be a Hero Pool Party in June, celebrating the community’s heroes, veterans and first responders at Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. Vehicles and first responders from the Indianola Fire Department, Indianola Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Unitypoint Life Flight Helicopter Crew, US Army Reserves and the Warren County Sheriff’s department will be on scene, as well as members of the Iowa League of Heroes. Free hot dogs, water, and sno cones will be available. The Be a Hero Pool Party takes place on June 14th from 7:30 to 9pm, and is free to attend.
