With the RAGBRAI overnight stay coming on July 23rd, Indianola residents can help the City of Indianola pay for the Indianola Police Department having all hands on deck with the Adopt-A-Cop Program. Organizer Rob Keller tells KNIA News how people can help.

“So each cop is $250 to adopt, and we need 30 officers on the day of the event to make it successfully safe. And we need those 30 officers paid for, so you can go to the Indianola RAGBRAI website or find it on Facebook, and click on sponsors, and it’s right there. It’s an easy and good way to make a contribution to the event.”

Keller also said the organization committee for RAGBRAI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so participating in the Adopt-A-Cop Program can be a way to donate to a good cause and use it come tax season.
