It was a frustrating 11-5 loss to Albia for the Knoxville Softball Squad on Friday night. The Panthers had plenty of baserunners but could not get them home, and of the Lady Dees’ 11 runs six were on two swings of the bat as they crushed two homers to left field. The Panthers were not without offensive fireworks as Emery Neer kept her torrid hitting pace on track going 3/5, Maddy Findley had a single and RBI and Reilly Finarty ripped a triple with an RBI. Coach Coy Hupfeld told KRLS Sports his team was able to take advantage of chances to score more. Ashlyn Finarty took the loss walking nine and striking out three. Knoxville is now 3-3 on the season and will play Pella Christian and Newton in the Oskaloosa Invitational today.
