There’s extra meaning this year as Christian Opportunity Center hosts their 18th annual golf outing this week. Amy Zuck with COC says they are celebrating a special milestone this year – 50 years as an organization supporting people with disabilities in the Pella area and beyond. She says while COC has undergone significant changes from year 49 to 50, they still aim to serve those who need a hand with life at their various locations in south central Iowa. The 18th annual COC Golf Classic begins at noon on Friday at Bos Landen in Pella. Registration starts at 11 a.m. for the four-person scramble, with a $150 entry fee per player, which includes lunch, 18 holes, greens fees, a cart, dinner at Bos Landen, a shirt, gift bag, and prizes. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will broadcast live Friday morning from Bos Landen before the event. Hear more about the COC Golf Classic on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.

Additionally, COC is seeking sponsors for two teams made up of Pella Police, Fire, and Ambulance personnel. Those who want to support those teams can text “COC Hero Team” to 243725.
