Indianola FFA students have been hard at work over the past year, not only expanding the program but running successful events and fundraisers to support the program. Chapter President Kamden Moffitt tells KNIA News the Indianola FFA has been at the center of many of the big events around the area.

“This year we had a lot of success in our career development experience events. We have had a lot of developments in the community through the mobile food bank, which is something we do every other month. In the summer for bike night, we all go around to collect cans to keep the square nice and tidy, and it’s a nice fundraiser for our chapter. And another big thing we had a big successful year with our fruit sale, where we sold over $68,000 worth of fruit, which was huge for our chapter.”

Moffitt also said the chapter having success at the state FFA competition was another remarkable achievement, but stressed that the continued growth of the ag program would be helped by an additional ag teacher at the high school.
