Five Marion County soccer players earned All-State honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. Pella’s Grace Held was selected to the Class 2A 1st team for the third time in her career. Held finished with 37 goals, 2nd most in the class, and with 117 goals in her four-year career. Chloe Griffin was a 1st team goalkeeper, after receiving 2nd team honors in 2018. Josie Lickteig was a 2nd team selection for the second straight season. Both Griffin and Lickteig were part of a Pella defense that allowed 13 goals in 18 games. In Class 1A, Emma DeJoode of Knoxville and Lindsay Breon of Pella Christian both earned 2nd team All-State honors. DeJoode, a junior, scored 30 goals for the Panthers, the sixth most in 1A. Breon scored 10 goals and racked up eight assists from the Eagles midfield.
