The Pleasantville School board met in regular session Tuesday. The board approved bids for the Pleasantville Elementary project as well as held a discussion regarding the unused funds for the project. Pleasantville Schools Superintendent Tony Alysworth tells KNIA/KRLS News with the elementary project potentially coming in under budget the schools remaining funds for the project could be transferred to the districts Physical Plant and Equipment Levy or PPEL Fund to help with other improvement projects for the district. The board also went into closed session during the meeting and settled negotiations with the districts non unionized workers such as administrators and directors. They also held a lengthy discussion about potential improvements to the Pleasantville football stadium including potential upgrades to the track to switch to a hard surface track.
