This Thursday the Knoxville Public Library will host author Linda McCann as she talks about research for her new book, Prisoners of War in Iowa. Heather Libby with the library tells KNIA/KRLS News the book is about the POW camps in Iowa during World War Two, specifically the POW camps in Clarinda and Algona that were active from 1944 through 1946. The program is part of the library’s Life Long Learning Series. Everyone is welcome to attend the program and no registration is necessary. For more information contact the Knoxville Public Library.
