The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. The board approved the authorization for the city of Pella to execute the application of a voluntary annexation of real estate for the city. They held a discussion regarding the Housing Trust Fund, as well as approved the renewal of a class C liquor license and Sunday sales for Elk Rock Event Center. The board also approved the tobacco permit renewal for New Star Newton LLC’s Pella location. They approved the fiscal year 2020 Marion County budget expense appropriations at a 100% level per department that equates to $26,829,780 for operational use for the county with a cap of $200,000. The board also held two closed session meetings with no action being taken.
