
The Indianola softball and baseball teams traveled to Adel Thursday evening, playing out of conference against ADM.
The Indianola softball team won its 11th game in a row, jumping on the Tigers early with a Diamond Mosley RBI double, and a Brooke Tucker home run to get a 4-0 lead. The Tigers struck for a run in the bottom half of the inning, but it was all Indianola from then on winning 8-1. Destiny Lewis hit a home run in the winning effort, while Kate Kralik earned the victory in the circle.
The Indians baseball team took down the Tigers 7-6 in their contest. The Indians fought in a back and forth contest, eventually coming out on top. Brenan Baker earned the victory for the Indians, coming on in relief and pitching four innings giving up just two runs, one of those was earned. Kael Kolarik and Gabe Zwanziger each had a pair of hits and RBI in the contest.
The softball team is now 22-4 on the season, the baseball squad is 12-11, and both squads will travel to Grinnell today for a conference doubleheader. The softball game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with pregame tentatively scheduled to start at 7pm.
