The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce held their most recent Out for Lunch event Thursday. Community members packed the newly constructed Panther Park to enjoy an outdoor lunch while also celebrating the completion of phase one of the park with a ribbon cutting. Tyler Pearson with the Knoxville School District tells KNIA/KRLS News now that phase one is done the park will be adding more additions including life sized board games and pieces such as checkers, jenga, yahtzee and tic tac toe. The first piece of musical playground is scheduled to arrive Friday. Every 4th Thursday this summer the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and Knoxville Wellness Coalition are encouraging people to utilize their lunch break and take their lunch outside. People were able to enjoy a lunch courtesy of Hy-Vee while also enjoying music being played from the KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio.
