A Central College alumnus got off on the right foot in his professional baseball debut. Garrett Saunders went 2-for-4 with an RBI and started two double plays Tuesday as the Danville Braves, Atlanta’s advanced rookie affiliate, defeated the Bluefield Blue Jays. Saunders signed a free-agent contract last Saturday after finishing his senior campaign with the Dutch, starting in all 40 games and hitting a team-high .361 with 53 hits.
