Four individuals in Knoxville were recently honored at the Rotary Club of Knoxville’s Annual Dinner on June 19th at the Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Mike Lane, Gary Anderson, Abie Davis and Jerry Jordan were all presented with a Paul Harris pin from the Paul Harris Fellow. The Paul Harris Fellow recognizes individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation (TRF). Rotary established the recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program. The recognition can also be given to non-Rotarians who have exemplified the principles and mottos of Rotary: Service Above Self and One Profits Most who Serves Best.
