The road continues, literally for the Knoxville Baseball Squad this week. After playing road games at Grinnell and Chariton to finish off this week, the Panthers will hit the road Monday to Nevada, then take their annual overnight road trip, this time taking on Forest City next Friday and Mason City-Newman on Saturday. Coach Matt Miller tells KRLS Sports while they have struggled to get wins and will likely be underdogs in those games, he wants his guys exposed to the best competition to be ready for the district in a couple of weeks. The Panthers have just one more home game remaining, a July eighth date with Newton. Last night’s scheduled games with Davis County were postponed due to heavy rain that moved through Bloomfield early in the day. The Panthers will battle the Mustangs on Wednesday July tenth.
