The class 1A #13 Twin Cedars Softball Squad finished off its final Bluegrass Conference game by bashing Lamoni 13-1 last night and solidifying an undefeated Bluegrass Conference title. The Sabers started from the first inning plating five runs and taking advantage of five errors committed by the Demons plus solid hitting. The walk off run came on an RBI ground out by Kaya DesPlanque. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KRLS Sports the BGC title was a goal, but undefeated was not really talked about until late in the season. The schedule ramps up a bit with the Sabers traveling to Belle Plaine, then Centerville and Davis County before embarking on the class 1A regional. The Sabers Baseball Squad fell to Lamoni 11-3 last night. Kade Dunnkin took the loss going three innings. However Brayden DenBurger pitched the final 3 2/3 innings of relief limiting the Demons to one run on three hits and four strikeouts. Nathan Smith and Zach Person both went 2/4 with an RBI and a stolen base.
