Knoxville Rotarian Will Prather has been awarded the Paul E. Hellwege Guardian of Integrity award at the Rotary District 6000 Conference and honored at Rotary Club of Iowa’s Annual Recognition Dinner on Wednesday June 19th at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville. Prather, who was a teacher and principal of the Knoxville School District was nominated by the Rotary Club of Knoxville. The Paul E. Hellwege Guardian of Integrity award is given to Rotarians who has been a Rotary member for a minimum of three years and whose life exemplifies the attributes and passion for ethics and integrity in his or her vocation, business, and personal life that Paul Hellwege exemplified. Judge Hellwege was a past District Governor in District 6000 and its predecessor districts for 55 years before he died at age 97. He served as District Judge and senior judge until December 1990.
