Those who have been by the Pella football stadium may have noticed a new change in the south endzone. Athletic Director Dale Otte says a new digital video scoreboard has been installed, with the main structure going up earlier this week.

“Most schools are going to a digital platform where you can do some more things with it–put some more ads on it and some cool in-game experience stuff with it,” he says.

Otte says the project has been funded by PPI, who has installed similar scoreboards in the community, including at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium at Central College. The new scoreboard is meant to enhance the experience of student-athletes and fans at football, soccer, track and field, and marching band events in the coming years.
