The reading trends for the summer of 2019 from Indianola readers include travel, fantasy, and graphic novels, as far as sales from Pageturners Bookstore shows. Proprietor Kathy Magruder tells KNIA News books that are selling the most right now are ones that are fun and enjoyable books that take people away, with a lot of feedback saying they will be read on vacation. Magruder also said kids are really into graphic novels, and they represent a great way to get reluctant readers to enjoy reading, and they are well written with great stories.
