The Tunes and Treats series run by Indianola Parks and Recreation continues Thursday, as the Indianola Jazz Combo is coming to the Indianola Activity Center. Becky Lane with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News the concerts provide an opportunity to broaden the horizons of those in the community.

“We wanted to introduce more music in town, especially to our senior citizens. We started this last fall and once a quarter we host a free concert at the activity center. Who doesn’t love music? This is a great opportunity to enrich their lives and give them an opportunity to get out that they might not have otherwise if we did not provide it for them.”

The concert is free and open to the public, and will run from 1-2pm at Indianola Parks and Rec.
