Fire crews responded to a barn fire at 1004 43rd Ave. in rural Pleasantville just after 3 pm. Crews from the Pleasantville Fire Department, Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department, Melcher-Dallas Fire Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene among other agencies. An official on scene stated that the fire is believed to have started from a brush fire that may have been blown into the barn. The barn is a complete loss.
