The community is invited to see a speaker returning this August, aimed at educating residents of all ages about the impact trauma has on brain development and health. Dr. Annette Bosworth with Meaningful Medicine presents the Brains of Trauma on Friday, August 9th from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, August 10th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Douwstra Auditorium. Bosworth speaks around the region about the impacts addictions of all forms have on brain development, and the two-day presentation will focus not only on the damage done, but how to heal and improve the lives of those impacted. Bosworth held a previous event in June, with many local residents attending.
