The Knoxville Baseball Squad split a double header with Davis County last night. The Panthers dropped game one 4-3 and won the nightcap 11-3. Tied at two in game one, the Mustangs got two runs in the fourth and held on despite Knoxville’s comeback later on. R.J. Roberts took the loss allowing six hits. Ben Olson, Kaleb Streigle, and Carter Bailey all drove in a run. In game two, Knoxville gradually pulled away from a 3-2 lead to get the advantage up to 5-2 before landing the knock out punch in the sixth inning with five runs. Olson drove in three more runs to up his total to four on the night. Streigle continued his pitching dominance going 5 1/3 innings limiting the Mustangs to five hits and striking out nine batters.
