The Knoxville School Board will meet in regular session Monday. The board will receive a presentation on the recent Ecuador trip as well as consider the 2019-2020 fundraisers. They will consider an overnight trip request for FFA students to visit the Fritz’s Farmhouse in Guttenburg, Iowa from July 23rd through July 25th. The board will consider the extension of the driver education contract with Triple R Driving School as well as consider a preschool proposal to potentially add an additional section of 4-year-old preschool. They will consider the purchase of Apple TV’s and a John Deere Mower for the district as well as consider a proposal from Larson Engineering for the construction of a new storage building.

The board will consider proposals for the high school Tuckpointing Project to provide masonry repairs to the school and they will also consider the 2019-2020 employee handbook and final approval of the series 500 policies. They will also make appointments and designations for the different district responsibilities. The board will hold a closed session to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered. The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm inside the district’s administrative offices.
