The Pleasantville City Council met in regular session Monday. The council approved a $144,000 partial payment to Iowa Civil Contracting for work associated with the Jasper Street Project.  A $72,400 payment was also approved to Miner Hardscape for landscaping work done on city property. The council approved a resolution to apply for a $75,000 Resource Enhancement and Protection Act grant which requires a $3,500 application fee. The council’s next monthly meeting will be held Thursday, August 22nd at 5:30 pm.
