Tonight is the last true points paying night at the Knoxville Raceway before the Knoxville Nationals. Next Saturday is still a points night but with the All-Star Circuit of Champions and a large class of 360s in town, this week is the week that a lot of the 410 and 360 drivers need to make a dent in the points races either by extending their leads or those behind to catch up. One such driver in the 410s who has made a dent in the points chance is Justin Henderson. Driver for Sandvig Motorsports, not many people thought Henderson would be a contender this season. Henderson is sitting in fourth place in the 410 standings, 100 points out of third place. Henderson tells KRLS Sports the time is now to have their best stuff when they hit the track. Henderson finished second in last week’s make up 410 A-Main and gained several points on third place Austin McCarl and second place Terry McCarl. Also, with no guarantee that leader Brian Brown will be racing in Knoxville tonight Henderson has a shot to move closer. It will be another busy night of racing with two 360 A-Mains as the June 22nd race will be made up along with the weekly shows from the 360s and Pro Sprints.
