Pella Regional’s Knoxville Medical Clinic continues to help local children through pediatric physical therapy. As children grow, certain habits or movements can become more evident and can hinder a child’s development into adulthood according to Physical Therapist Betsy Schnieder with the clinic. Schnieder tells KNIA/KRLS News current research shows if you address the issues now and teach a child how to move or relax certain areas, the problem can be gradually corrected. Schnieder says if left uncorrected, breathing, playing sports, dancing, going up stairs and general life skills can be difficult. Schnieder works with children at the clinic from infants to teenagers to help address and correct the issues.
