There was a lot of new things for the Pleasantville Softball Squad this season. A new conference for one thing that saw the Trojans finish runner up to Van Meter, and being ranked for the first time in several seasons, finishing ranked sixth in class 2A and as high as number three. Another new addition was varsity double headers in the new conference. Coach Jan Haugen tells KNIA Sports it soon became a cat and mouse game between his team and other top programs in the conference to see who would pitch whom in the first game. The Trojans finished 25-12 and fell in the second round of the class 2A regional.
