A single vehicle rollover accident occurred Tuesday afternoon in the 800 block of Highway G76 near Melcher-Dallas. Just after 1 pm Tuesday crews responded to the report of a pickup that had left the roadway, rolled over and landed on its top with the driver believed to be trapped inside. When crews arrived they found a pickup on its top in a field north of the roadway. The pickup was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, crossed both lanes of traffic before hitting the north ditch and rolling over, according to an official on scene. The driver of the truck was able to free themselves before crews arrived and was transported to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics with unknown injuries. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia Fire Department responded to the scene among other agencies.
