Habitat for Humanity of Marion County will be accepting applications for a new home construction project that will also be a cooperative effort between Habitat for Humanity and the Pleasantville High School Building Trades Class as well as volunteers in Pleasantville. Director of Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Robin Pfalzgraf tells KNIA/KRLS News the reasons Habitat for Humanity wanted to team up with the students is because the local area is hurting for contracts she hopes to give students a taste of working on a home is like in case they might be interested in making it a career in the future. Pfalzgraf says she also loves seeing students work on a house that they know years from now they will be able to visit with their families and be proud that they were a part of making someone’s home a reality.
